THE MISSING PIECE

"If you want solve a problem, don't ask an expert. They will tell you it's impossible." - Edwin Land, the inventor of Polaroid

Several foundational fields intersect in the making of herbal skin care: traditional herbalism, cosmetic chemistry, pharmaceutical compounding and more. Yet, none of the respective experts holds the key that unlocks herbal skin care that is natural, stable and effective, while leaning into the principles of traditional herbalism.

Enter Herbal Skin Craft!

A unique 3-part online series that stands at the professional intersection, delivering you information about herbal skin care making you have not found anywhere else.

BETTER THAN UNI

"I did my Herbal pharmacology subject a few semesters ago and I truly felt I learnt more from you in 2 hours than I did in a full Semester. I found the pharmacology very overwhelming without the context you gave us in the class."

Rachel - BHSc Herbalism student

"[Botany and Herbal manufacturing] was a fun unit, but I gotta say that learning medicine making with Kaja was so much better than uni!"

SOULFUL SCIENCE

"I was nervous about booking onto this course, having been terrible at science at school but it was great! Kaja makes the information very accessible and it was fascinating! Who knew science could be this much fun! I also love her soulful approach to herbalism and her reciprocal relational connection to the earth. Soulful science!"

Karolina Kaja Skraskova

Hello, I am Kaja!

I am a herbalist with a formal background in European-style pharmacy (MPharm) and science (analytical chemistry PhD). I revel in presenting foundational knowledge from practical perspectives. My courses are rooted in traditional herbalism, underpinned by cosmetic science and infused with my direct personal experience.

I am a member of the Australian Society of Cosmetic Chemists and I delivered invited talks at Australian universities on the topic of Herbal Skin Care.

Most importantly, the past 9 years have seen me crafting herbal skin care following the principles of pharmaceutical compounding and traditional herbalism. My herbal skin care has won prestigious industry awards and most importantly helped clients whose skin was going through literal & metaphorical rough patches.

Now I would like YOU to be able to do the same with the confidence both you and your community & clients deserve!

EASILY DIGESTIBLE SCIENCE

"Thank you so much for your clear and concise communication, video presentation and pdf resources. I’m not a naturopath myself but a nerdy budding herbalist interested in making the things I need for myself and those around me and the science behind it all makes it all the more interesting! It was really easily digestible."
